In footnote 8, Namit Arora provides a link to a National Geographic article which describes Göbekli Tepe, an archeological site in present-day Turkey, not so very far from Ugarit [map].
Interesting complement to the present article, in that it provides extensive information about an ancient culture[s] which possessed remarkably precocious ingenuity.
